YOGI MUL-S is a low toxicity secondary emulsifier used to enhance the emulsion stability of oil-based drilling fluids and to further reduce HTHP filtrate losses and enhance thermal stability, rheological stability. The product is effective over a wide range and in the presence of contaminants, and for reducing the adverse effects of water wetting of solids. The product is stable up to 350°F. The quantity used depends on the specific conditions required for the drilling mud but typically ranges from 2-10ppb.
Fine dispersion of microscopic brine droplets produced throughout the continuous oil phase, which behave like fine solid particles to improve filter cake quality, resulting in improved fluid loss control. Maintains stable water-in-oil emulsion and helps prevent water in HTHP filtrate.
