Partially Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide Polyacrylate Co-Polymer Powder

PARTIALLY HYDROLYZED POLYACRYLAMIDE POLYACRYLATE CO-POLYMER POWDER

Product Name:

PARTIALLY HYDROLYZED POLYACRYLAMIDE POLYACRYLATE CO-POLYMER POWDER

Product Code:

PHPA

Product Description:

PHPA of high molecular weight and is a highly efficient fluid loss reducer, shale coat protective and viscosifier in fresh water, calcium/sodium brines and KCL mud systems which is compatible with most drilling fluid products, biopolymer, PAC CMC, FCL, starches etc.

PHPA POWDER (Partially Hydrolysed Polyacrylamide – Polyacrylate Copolymer) maintains hole stability by preventing shale swelling and erosion. The copolymer is characterized by a large anionic chain that coat shale surfaces which protect the walls of the hole from disintegration.
IT can be used in clear-water, solids- free drilling fluids.

IT enhances solids removal by flocculating the undesired solids.

IT is well suited to low-solids, non dispersed.
The effectiveness of the polymer is reduced as the concentration of dispersants/ deflocculants is increased.

Viscosity sweeps are effective for periodic hole cleaning. Sweeps may be prepared by mixing it directly in the active system at the suction pit or by premixing a high concentration in a separate pit and allowing the polymer to fully yield before being added to the active system.

When drilling top hole, a liquid solution of PHPA may be poured into the drill pipe during connections to help hole cleaning and maintaining a clean stabilizer and bit, improving ROP.

Because it spaces the negative sites along the chain so that they match the positive sites on the edges of the clay platelets edges, thus increasing the shale stabilization.
