YOGI-CMC-LV (Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose Low Viscosity) is a technical grade of low viscosity sodium carboxymethyl cellulose is highly efficient fluid loss reducer in fresh, sea and saturated water based drilling mud without affecting the rheological properties.
It is highly efficient fluid loss reducer in low solid polymer systems, non-damaging fluids, and dispersed weighted systems, without affecting the viscosity or causing rapid increase in the yield point even when used at high concentrations.
It is less effective in brines and saltwater and is not generally recommended to be used if the salinity exceeds 50,000 ppm.
YOGI-CMC-LV are used in low viscosity or low solids fluids and increase viscosity in addition to controlling fluid loss.
YOGI-CMC has some limitations subject to bacterial degradation, a biocide should be used to prevent fermentation.
Not utilized in high salinity fluids that exceed 50,000 ppm.
Not tolerant of high pH and high calcium ion conditions in combination.
Systems should be pre-treated with either sodium bicarbonate or possibly citric acid prior to drilling cement.
